Had a request to do a color version of a black and white shot I posted a while back. Peaceful morning wandering around Yellowstone National Park, good times…

In about two weeks I will be leaving Texas and moving back to one of my favorite places on Earth – the Pacific Northwest. I am giving myself a week to drive from Dallas to Seattle and plan to take the most scenic route I can find. In general I prefer obscure / out of the way places to stuff like national parks that everyone photographs.
I am working out the route now. So – if you know of any scenic drives or interesting places to shoot that are somewhere between Dallas and Seattle – please feel free to comment or contact me directly. Planning to have a great photography adventure!
Not the best composed shot I have ever done but I went a little bit crazy getting it so I decided it deserved a post. I was driving along a highway near White Sands with a storm coming up behind me when I saw several dust devils roaming around. Every time I stopped the truck and got my camera out they disappeared or ran away. And I couldn’t wait for them to come back because the storm was catching up with me. I believe this was the 6th time that I stopped and I was frustrated to the point of making up new words because I had exhausted my supply of colorful language around stop #4. Anyway, here it is…
It’s Monday morning. Here’s a picture of some cows, found somewhere along the back roads of Montana. Is it the Mona Lisa? No. Maybe the Moo-na Lisa…
P.S. If you have a beef with this picture, I don’t want to hear about it.
P.P.S. Really, I don’t have a great steak in it…
P.P.P.S. Roast me for it if you really want to…
P.P.P.P.S. I can take a ribbing….
A tiny island in the middle of Diablo Lake, in the Cascade Mountains of Washington state…
