Looking down on the town of Rock Springs, Wyoming. This is an HDR (high dynamic range) panorama which was a bit tricky to shoot and assemble. It is seven frames wide but each frame was a set of three exposures to allow for the HDR processing. So I had to process and assemble seven sets of three exposures each. Anyway, here it is. Fishing boats docked at Bellingham Harbor, Washington…
Prints and licenses are available for this photo.
The sign on the door of this West Texas service station says “Open” but I’m guessing they are closed. Special bonus – if you look at the big window near the center of the building you can see a reflection of me taking the shot…
P.S. Anyone know the make / model / year of the car on the left side of the shot? I forgot to check before I moved on, wanted to include it in the tags.
Another experimental image. New Mexico horse country on a spring day. Lots of interesting looking clouds in the sky so I decided to shoot a vertical panorama. This was constructed from 7 exposures and I shot it handheld because I wanted to see what kinds of cool popping and creaking sounds my back would make as I literally bent over backwards to get a shot…
Abandoned cabin near Anaconda, Montana, with the mountains of the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness in the background…
