Yeah, but have they found anything yet?
The VLA has found lots of stuff, but they are not looking for E.T. http://www.vla.nrao.edu/
The big radio telescope at Arecibo has been used to transmit messages into space and to look for signals. http://www.naic.edu/general/
The Allen radio telescope array in California is being built specifically to look for signals from space. http://www.seti.org/ata
