Watching a ferry cross Puget Sound near Mukilteo, Washington…
Three seagulls having a disagreement…
By the time you read this I will be on the road to Seattle! For the next two weeks or so I will be traveling and finding a new place to live. I have a few photos set to auto-post and once I am established there I expect to get back to a regular posting schedule.
If anyone needs to contact me regarding licensing photos, buying prints, etc. it may take an extra day for me to respond but I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Today’s photo is one of the car ferries going across Puget Sound – can’t wait to get back there!
I find myself missing the Pacific Northwest a lot lately so I made myself a new desktop background image. Shot at Mukilteo north of Seattle, one last shot down the beach before I got out of the way of the storm that was rolling in over Puget Sound. I hope to be back there soon…

Watching the ferries come and go on a peaceful morning – Mukilteo, Washington.
Not going exclusively black & white, just going through some older shots and these are the ones that are jumping out and saying “post me!”.
Haven’t had much time for Texas road trips yet but expect to get out more now that moving is done and I am getting settled into the new job.
Watching a spring storm move in from the shore of Puget Sound. This image has been posted to the site before – I published a color version that looked pretty good but didn’t capture how complex and interesting the sky was on that afternoon.
Another cold, wet, windy day here. I think it has been almost 2 months since we had a truly sunny day. I decided to head down to the shore of Puget Sound with my camera, “embrace the gloom”, and practice shooting in these conditions.
On the shore of Puget Sound watching the rain roll in.
I like to go to Mukilteo State Park to work on my panorama skills. This image was created from 18 exposures.

Guide poles, part of the boat launch at Mukilteo Lighthouse Park.
I was wandering around the lighthouse park in Mukilteo when I looked up and saw an eagle flying by. I only got one decent shot, with the eagle almost directly overhead, but I decided it was worth sharing.
