I wanted to photograph the wild horses that roam near Cody, Wyoming. So I booked a tour with Bridger Trail Excursions Wild Mustang Tours. It was great. I saw over 100 wild horses and my guide, Mel, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I think she knew the complete life story of every horse we saw. Anyway if you’re visiting the Cody / Yellowstone area it is definitely something I would recommend doing.
This little guy was napping when I first saw him – this is just after he woke up when he appeared to be a bit hungry and wanting his mom…
Many more photos to come from this great trip.
I spent about an hour watching a group of wild horses in Montana. They seemed to have a supernatural ability (as many horses seem to have) to turn around, stick their noses into the grass, or do something else uninteresting every time I focused the lens on them. After shooting about 50 frames I got this – it has a few issues but there is something about it that I like…
Sticks was born a few weeks after I moved to the ranch. I have seen him just about every day of his life. Here are a few pictures to mark his second birthday.
About 20 minutes old.
And he’s on his feet!
Out for a walk with his mom…
Exploring on his own…
Wow he grew up fast…
Handsome boy….
Well, handsome most of the time…
He would do just about anything to get into a picture…
I’ll miss you buddy…
