Watching a ferry cross Puget Sound near Mukilteo, Washington…
By the time you read this I will be on the road to Seattle! For the next two weeks or so I will be traveling and finding a new place to live. I have a few photos set to auto-post and once I am established there I expect to get back to a regular posting schedule.
If anyone needs to contact me regarding licensing photos, buying prints, etc. it may take an extra day for me to respond but I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Today’s photo is one of the car ferries going across Puget Sound – can’t wait to get back there!
I was on the shore of Puget Sound, setting up for a shot of Mount Baker lit by the morning sun, when a ferry went by…
Old building in downtown Seattle. I like the sense of history that I get from it – seeing layers of signs and ads that have been painted and re-painted over the years…
Watching the world (and the ferries) go by at Mukilteo State Park near Seattle…

Watching the ferries come and go on a peaceful morning – Mukilteo, Washington.
Not going exclusively black & white, just going through some older shots and these are the ones that are jumping out and saying “post me!”.
Haven’t had much time for Texas road trips yet but expect to get out more now that moving is done and I am getting settled into the new job.
I like to go to Mukilteo State Park to work on my panorama skills. This image was created from 18 exposures.

To me this shot sums up some of the good things about living in the Pacific Northwest. A rare clear winter morning, take a trip to the water, relax and watch one of the ferries go by with a backdrop of Mount Baker glowing in the morning sun. Days like this help make up for the rain and clouds.
Early morning, watching two ferries crossing Puget Sound.
