Freezing my rear end off late on a winter afternoon at Wedge Pond, Alberta, Canada. Very cold but worth the hike.
Athabasca Glacier, Alberta, Canada. One of the most difficult shots I have ever taken. Temperature was 26 degrees (F) and there was a very strong wind coming over the ice directly into my face. It was so cold I had trouble breathing and could not feel my hands or feet while I was shooting. I wanted to get closer but had to turn back at this point – I was the only person out there and if I slipped and fell I thought I might not be found until spring…
