The PC that I use for photo editing died. No photos were lost but it will probably be a few weeks before I have a faster and better machine built. In the meantime I will re-post some favorites of mine. New photos will start appearing around end of November.
(This shot was a safe / planned explosion as part of an air show I attended in Fort Worth a few years ago.)
Close-up of an Aero-Spacelines Mini-Guppy cargo aircraft at the Tillamook Air Museum, Oregon.
A neat place to visit if you’re exploring the Oregon coast – the Tillamook Air Museum which is located in a huge World War II era blimp hangar, one of the last left standing…
Meet “Fifi”, a B-29 bomber visiting the Historic Flight collection at Paine Field near Seattle…
And now for something a bit different. HDR (high dynamic range) image of the engines on an F-15 Eagle fighter.
Japanese planes used in the movie “Tora Tora Tora”, coming around for a strafing run at the 2012 Fort Worth Alliance Air Show.
Alliance Air Show, Fort Worth, Texas. This explosion was part of the big finale of a re-enactment of the battle of Pearl Harbor performed by the Commemorative Air Force. The jets are the Snowbirds aerobatic team from Canada.
U.S. Coast Guard HH-65 “Dolphin” helicopter in flight over Bellingham, Washington.
I was taking some long exposure shots of the night sky, trying to get the focus right, and a plane flew over. The three lines are the lights on the wingtips and the tail of the plane, and the dots in the lines are the flashes of the lights.
I was shooting a jet and a bird decided to join in. I like the combination – natural vs. mechanical flight.
