The sign seems fairly new compared to the rest of the place. I think I remember going through this place when traveling to El Paso from Ft. Hood.
The caption of the sign says “Gone but not forgotten” so I think it was added after the town went away.
Interesting that the (former) streets are even mostly at Google street view, though most of the homes there are not longer existing.
By the way: The truck has a nice color 😉
