  1. That is almost certainly the Wenatchee River on the east side of Stevens Pass. The Skykomish flows west. You can tell by the vegetation that it isn’t on the west side of the pass, because the trees in the picture are: 1. Burnt. There was a large fire a few years ago along the Tumwater Canyon which the Wenatchee River runs through and many of the trees are burned to the river, and also they are 2. Too far apart with too little underbrush for it to be on the west side of the pass.

    • Thanks – I believe you are correct. This is why I later invested in a GPS unit for my camera. 🙂 I often go hundreds of miles per day on my photo trips and it can be difficult to go back later and remember exactly where something was shot.
