Exploring the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in southern Arizona on a spring morning.
This is a 6 shot panorama – I couldn’t get back far enough to get the framing I wanted without standing on another big cactus. It was shot with my regular landscape rig – Nikon D800, Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. The frames were shot in vertical format, ISO 100, 24mm, f/9.0, 1/320. No filters were used.
The lighting is just gorgeous!
I was there in January! I hear you about not getting far enough awa, those things are deadly! I went w a macro approach here http://travelsandtrifles.wordpress.com/2013/01/14/wild-weekly-photo-challenge-scary-weekly-photo-challenge-illumination
Got to agree with Shutterbug Sage – the light in this is great.
