Sometimes I like to go through my older shots – see how my perspective and techniques have changed, see what I can do with tools I have now that I didn’t have then… So once in a while you may see a new take on an image that was posted here before. Like this one. This is the ferry Cathlamet leaving the dock at Mukilteo, Washington. New take above, original take below…
I like to do this as well. I think it gives me an idea of how my photography tastes and skills have evolved. Kind of fascinating. I prefer your more recent shot – I think that’s a good thing 🙂
I continue to bask in the glow of your talent and of course, travel vicariously thru your photo’s.
You never disappoint. Thanks.

Thanks – I will do my best to keep glowing. 😉
Perhaps that was the wrong metaphor, I just wanted to let you know that you are appreciated and respected in your work.

Maybe because I live out here – the pop of color in the original is appreciated. It can get pretty black and white here in the winter… no need to rush that. 🙂
I understand completely – lived in the Northwest for about 8 years and remember days of complete confusion in the winter when I saw that strange bright yellow object in the sky… 🙂
Heck! I’m missing the place so much… I’ll take it color, black & white… whichever you way want. Though, I do like the black & white version more. I like the dramatic contrast and feel it gives to the photo. 🙂
Love the black and white. Great contrast!
