Very cool picture. It has an “unreal” quality to it. If I didn’t know it was yours, I wouldn’t have guess at first that it was a photograph. Almost looks like something your could create on a computer. I can totally see that landscape being used in a video game (or do they call them something else now?).
Great shot – love the way we are looking down from above, the contrast between textures of the clouds in the sky, and the clouds over the land. The road is a nice touch.
As always, I’m blown away. One of these days I’d love to see a picture of the trusty steed you use to get to all these amazing view spots. I’m trying to guess if it’s American or Japanese. I’ve got a picture of a Chevy truck in my mind.
wonderful, I love the road traversing the ridge!
Wow, that is some view. You are above the clouds. Did you have to hike up there or can you drive?
Thanks. I was able to drive – the dirt road was just barely passable. Even with 4-wheel drive it was rough going.
Do you still have Ripley or did you trade her in for a tougher model that can handle all the outback driving you’ve been doing…
I still have Ripley, but she is having a rough time. Planning to replace her with a mean offroad machine one of these days.
That’s quite a view and a beautiful photo! You find some fascinating places!

The apparent curve of the distant horizon in addition to those clouds so far below you really gives this a feeling of a view from on high.
