After the coldest April on record the sun and blue skies finally made an appearance over Seattle. Here are a few snapshots from my walk around Gasworks Park.
Thanks. The only problem I had there – every other photographer in Seattle showed up when I did – it was challenging trying to get shots without 2 or 3 people with cameras in them.
I’m a fan of the first 3 shots! Industrial things are such great subjects. The designers go through such pains to make something, and it seems such a waste to pass their art by.
Also, I love the contrast of the industrial with the natural beauty. Things like that fascinate me.
Such beautiful, vibrant photos! I’m so happy we finally, FINALLY got a weekend with some sunshine! 🙂

haha!
my favourite is #3 with the contrasting light & scenery effects
Very nice. My favourite is the cityscape. So nice!!
Nice shots Mike. I’ve seen the place from passing and thought it would be a good place to shoot. Now, I know it is. 🙂
I know… people were everywhere yesterday enjoying the sun. Looks like we are back to the rain again today…
Looks like a pretty interesting place to visit.

Glad you finally got some nice weather!
I love your industrial shots. #2 is my favorite of this group.
Thanks Karen. I seem to identify with rusty and decrepit things.
