Late afternoon on a sunny day in the Cascades. Shot near Diablo Lake.
I was up in the Cascades setting up a shot of snow blowing off a mountain peak. I saw a bird flying into frame and thought “OMG!!!!! An eagle!!!!”. I fired away and this was the result. It wasn’t an eagle – I think it was a very big raven. Almost trashed the shot because the focus and framing are a bit off but there is something about it that I like. So here it is.
Shot from Madrona Park, Seattle. Looking south at Lake Washington, the I-90 bridge, and Mount Rainier.
Northern State Hospital on a cloudy winter morning. HDR image – a blend of 3 exposures created with the Lightroom LR/Enfuse plugin.
Sun was out today so I went looking for something interesting to shoot. Ended up at a favorite place – Northern State Hospital. This is the first shot that I liked. More to come soon. HDR (high dynamic range) image, 3 exposures merged with the Lightroom LR/Enfuse plugin.
One of houses down the street has a great old windmill in the yard. I love watching it spinning around on a windy day.
Seagull sharing the rocks with me. Cap Sante Park, Anacortes, WA.
Just a simple shot of the ranch. Sometimes a little sun, horses, and trees are all I need to have a good afternoon.
Luka getting some grooming, love, and attention.
Filtered sun and cloudy sky. Morning at Kirkland Marina Park, looking southwest across Lake Washington.
Shot from Kirkland’s Marina Park, looking west across Lake Washington towards Seattle and the Olympic Mountains, early morning. If you look below the mountain (you might need to click to get the larger version) you can see a seaplane taking off.
Sunny day today so I paid a visit to Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle.
Lazy morning at the zoo. I have seen lions sleeping before, but I have never seen them spooning. Aww……
Tigers! Also kinda sleepy.
And a sloth bear. Who was being quite slothful. Wandered out of his cave for a second, looked at me, and went back to bed.
