An open letter to Annie.
Today I was on a walk around the ranch. You came running out to see me, I reached into the doggie-treat pocket of my jacket, and it was empty. You were forced to wait almost two minutes on slightly damp grass before I could get some treats and return.
In front of the entire world (those of you on the internet – please print this out for the rest) I would like to apologize. I let you down and I ask for your forgiveness. I hope that someday we can rebuild the love and trust that we once had.
To the world – thank you for your time and attention. My normal posts of birds, more birds, even more birds, creepy abandoned buildings, and the occasional horse will resume tomorrow.
(Note to self – need to get one of the horses up to Northern State Hospital so I can get a shot of a horse in front of a creepy abandoned building with a bird flying over…)
Yeah, I know that terrible feeling. Like when I make the blackbird or the robin wait for a few seconds for their wormblies. Dreadful. Don’t worry, as soon as they have the food in their sorry beaks/mouths, they forgive you.
😉
Mike, she is so good at making that face. She gets me every time also. Just want to say how much I enjoy your incredible shots. I love checking in and seeing what’s new.
Thanks Leah. 🙂
LOL They can make one feel so guilty, can’t they?!
What a cutie! I think she will get over it , though.
Our local crows acted the same way, in a storm on Friday. Even wildlife can make a person feel guilty.
