NSH is somewhat of a rare place – in the US when buildings are abandoned they are usually torn down or fenced off. Also many abandoned buildings are in very dangerous areas – high crime, etc. These buildings are easy to get to (if you don’t mind a short hike) and they are in the middle of a city park that was built around them. And I can always find something new and interesting to photograph every time I go there.
