Awesome halo! It’s almost like the tree is a mountain or perhaps a pyramid somewhere far away (it’s late…cut a Canuck a break eh)! 😀 Nicely captured.
Thanks – the composition was a bit of an accident – I tried shooting the halo straight on but it was too bright to see any detail. So I started setting up behind trees to block the sun out but catch part of the halo.

The shape of the tree naturally guides your eye through the photo to the halo. Nicely done!
