Went to work and it was dark. Left work it was dark. Looked at the weather forecast – rain and more rain. This shot of a sleepy little guy on a warm summer day reminds me that the sun will return.
I started this blog three months ago today. Wasn’t sure I would like blogging, wasn’t sure I would like putting my “stuff” out there for the world to see, and wasn’t sure what “stuff” to put out there.
Having a great time so far. Both creating my blog and being introduced to other ones around WordPress. Wanted to say thanks to everyone for visiting and commenting!
And I had to throw in a few pictures to show that my efforts in dog photography are continuing without injury to the dog. (See post “Photo shoot gone wrong”).
Still trying to catch that treat…
Unharmed and willing to try again…
butt is going numb
dull pain building behind eyes
must be a monday

Took a road trip to Anacortes and happened upon their Christmas Parade. Had to take a few pictures…
An experiment in HDR (high dynamic range) photography. It was a drab, cloudy day today so I decided to shoot a set with a high ISO setting (3200) and play with the HDR software settings. This isn’t a standard HDR shot but it has a dreamy, painting-like quality that I liked.
This was a set of three shots merged with Photomatix Pro 4.0:
- ISO 3200, f/22, 1/800 second exposure
- ISO 3200, f/22, 1/200 second exposure
- ISO 3200, f/22, 1/50 second exposure

Handcuffed by Homeland Security
“OK fat man, where’s your passport?”
“But I’m Santa!!!!” was his retort
“Please let me go, ho ho ho!!!!”
“Sorry bud, you’re off to Guantanamo.”
